It's Okay Not to Love Yourself

Self love is the best love

But I understand it can be hard to feel sometimes (or even at all). And you know what? It is totally normal and valid to not love yourself all of the time (and I am pretty sure not humanly possible).

It is also not correct that clients who take the leap to do their boudoir session with me love themselves or are confident in their bodies. Not one woman that has came through my studio doors was 100% confident in herself. In fact, 9/10 women are completely unconfident and terrified the day of their session (though every woman leaves feeling amazing)!

Some women even come to me as part of the healing process into loving themselves.

What to Start With

Start with self tolerance and self neutrality. If you can’t say you love your body say:

“My body allows me to get from place to place.” or “My body cares for my family.”

If you cannot say “I’m beautiful.” Eliminate saying, “I am ugly” and replace it with “I am a person.” If you cannot say “I am valuable.” Begin by shutting down the “I’m worthless” thoughts and say:

“All people deserve basic respect, and I am a person.”

Take those baby steps! You got this!
